The Geoscience Museum has one of the largest mineral collections in the world, with over 9 000 specimens on display. Also on display is a piece of moon-rock, one of the biggest selection of South African meteorites and an extensive display of vital economic minerals. Other highlights include a new display of gemstones. Information kiosks provide a unique, hands-on introduction to the universe, the solar system and the earth.
