Getting to Tshwane

Travelling around South Africa has never been easier. Besides the national carrier, there are various low-budget and charter airlines that link the main centres.

Tshwane is particularly accessible as it lies only 48 km from the OR Tambo International Airport in Kempton Park and has three national highways, the N1, N4 and N14, and two highways, the R21 and R80, converging on the city. The Wonderboom, Lanseria and Rand Airports also serve Tshwane.

For tourists who choose to travel overland there are many coach operators and trains (luxury and standard) that enable you to experience the beauty and variety of the South African landscape. And if you prefer to drive yourself around, fill up and head for Tshwane. Car rental companies offer reliable options on this regard.
