Languages

South Africa has 11 official languages: Afrikaans, English, Ndebele, North Sotho, South Sotho, Swati, Tsonga, Tswana, Venda, Xhosa and Zulu. The most widely used home language in Tshwane is Pedi (North Sotho), followed by Afrikaans, Tshwana, Tsonga, Zulu and English. South Africa's rainbow nation speaks in 11 official tongues, yet flies one official flag.
